Suffer System Fighters Win Again at Muay Thai Kickboxing Show!!!

Saturday January 19, 2008, Waterloo Ontario. Suffer System Fighters Ashley Nichols, Andrew Bilicky and Justin "The Ninja" Primmer impressed a full house crowd. Andrew Bilicky, a 15 year old fighter!!! took the fight with 20 minutes notice!!! Andrew faced a seasoned fighter and won the first round 10-9. "Andrew's jab and 1-2 combination were fast and scored just about every time he threw his hands, stated coach/manager Milton Gougoulias". Ashley Nichols brought here 1-0 record to the ring and absolutely dominated her opponent with a unanimous decision. Ashley stays perfect at 2-0!!! Justin also brought a 1-0 record to the ring and did not dissapoint.

Justin threw kick after kick and literally cut his opponent down. The opponent's corner threw the towel in early in the second round. Justin stays perfect at 2-0. "I was really impressed with Andrew, Ashley and Justin's performance tonight. The outcome does not surprise me at all. That's what we preach at Suffer System. Exactly what you saw out there tonight. That's what makes us different... Yeah, we are definitely riding a long term winning streak!! It's the fighters!! They put in alot of rounds, alot of "tough love" training drills, and tons of cardio, only the way Suffer System does it" stated coach/manager Milton Gougoulias.





Suffer System fighter J Hadin entered the octagon in MMA Halifax show and Delivers!! On Saturday January 12 Phoenix fight promotions held an awesome show. J Hadin the Suffer System rep. did not disappoint. J came out with a 2 - 3 combo. Jay showed excellent ground skills. Jay clinched with his opponent and delivered 8 deadly knees that busted his opponent open. "I felt him go limp after I landed the knees, stated Jay". Jay sunk in a guillotine choke and submitted his opponent at the 2 minute mark of the first round!!! "Jay was in complete control and dominated this fight. His ground game was bang on and the knees were the finishing touch, stated corner man Milton Gougoulias". Jay now brings his MMA record to 2-0!!!






Suffer System Rocked Cambridge!!

Saturday January 3, Cambridge Ontario, Suffer System fighters Ashley Nichols, Jeff Fiddy, Carlos, TJ , and Justin "The Ninja" Primmer entered the ring in an action packed Muay Thai Kickboxing show. Ashley started the show by taking a fight on 20 minutes notice!!! "It's unbelievable stated coach Milton Gougoulias, Ashley worked all night. She got off work at 8:00 am drove to Cambridge and takes a fight on 20 minuted notice with no sleep!!! It's unheard of. A true warrior"... Ashley dominated the fight with a plethora of combinations and blasts of leg kicks!! "She did everything according to plan stated corner man Tom Lockhart.< I am very proud of her". Ashley won her fight by ref. stoppage.

Another Suffer System fighter Jeff Fiddy made his debut. Jeff fought hard and throw some real bombs. Unfortunately Jeff cam up short in his debut. Great effort and a great fight!! Next up was Carlos. varlos came out like a rabid wolf. he through bombs and dropped his opponent to the mat on 3 occasions. Carlos's power, speed and combinations were too much and the ref. stopped the fight (TKO). Excellent performance and an excellent victory by the Suffer System gladiator!! TJ had his long awaited rematch and did not disappoint. TJ was strong and impressive. In the end the decision went to the judge's cards. TJ came up short on the decision, but definitely had a wicked fight!! Finally Suffer System's Justin "The Ninja" Primmer had the fight of the night and also the KO of the night!! Justin blasted kick after kick on his opponent. Justin timed a right straight to his opponent's chin and it was "lights out" KO victory at 1;17 seconds in the 1st round!! the crowd went crazy!!! "We are very proud of the Suffer System fighter's and their performance.

They definitely dominated out there today, stated corner men Tom Lockhart and Milton Gougoulias"!! Chalk up another victory for Suffer System Fighting Team!!!!!



On Saturday November 10 in Montreal UGC promotions, 2 Suffer System fighters entered the ring. J Hadin and Geza Kalman. J Hadin made his debut MMA appearance and did not disappoint. J's fight was quick and impressive . J took his opponent to mat early and submitted his opponent early in the first round by rear naked choke. Geza Kalman had the fight of the night. Geza and his opponent thrown down. Both fighters bloodied kept throwing and taking. Geza felt short on gas and came up short on the win. Corner men Todd Wood and Samir Sieff were impressed with the Suffer System fighters and their performances.

Suffer System Fighters at Xtreme MMA

November 24/07, Victoriaville, Quebec. Suffer System fighters: Shawn Marchand, Brandon Curts, Kris "K-9" Parti and Stephen Davis represented at Xtreme MMA. Kris Parti fought hard and rocked his tough opponent with some slick combinations but fell short on the outcome. Stephen Davis took the fight with a very formidable opponent and showed good technique, however this was not his night. The fight of the night went to Shawn Marchand. Shawn battled hard in a war. The fight became controversial when the officials missed the points and the decision went against Marchand. Brandon took his fight with 6 days notice. Brandon at 205 lbs fought out of his weight class and took on an opponent at 225 lbs!!! Brandon rocked the house with escapes from a guillotine and full mount. Brandon punished his opponent and laid down the "smack". His opponent was not able to answer the bell for the second round and Brandon Curts captured a victory on his debut!!! The Suffer System fighters left a positive impression on the crowd and promoters with their MMA skills. Look for these warriors on future Xtreme MMA shows!! Fabio Hollanda Seminar is a Huge Success!!
Suffer System fighter and trainer Todd Wood brought world reknown BJJ champion Fabio Hollanda to London On Saturday for a seminar. Fabio Hollanda is well known and highly touted in the MMA world. BJJ champion and coach to UFC champion George St.Pierrre, David Louiseau, and Patrick Cote. A strong turn out supported the seminar and spoke very highly on Hollanda as an instructor. Excellent work Todd!!!





On Sunday November 11 in Hamilton Ontario, Joslin's Grappling Championships were held. Suffer System competitors included: Aaron Adams, Chris Tilson, Peter Cunningham, Kris "K-9" Parti, Ben Jamieson. All Suffer System competitors battled hard and impressed. The highlight reel included Aaron Adams entering a division with over 34 competitors!!! Aaron fought 4 matches and captured 3rd place over all!!! Peter Cunningham with limited training entered a tough field and captured 2 wins and one loss. Kris K-9 Parti had been preparing for an upcoming MMA fight and entered Joslyn's on last minute notice and still managed to capture one win and one loss. Chris Tilson had been preparing strictly for a Muay Thai show and had not rolled in 2 months. Tilson drew a tough opponent and just fell short on his match. Ben Jamieson did what he does best. He took care of business. Ben absolutely dominated his division and walked through the opposition. Submitting all his opponents, Ben captured his second consecutive Joslin's title belt!!!!!

Saturday June 11/07 "Bash at The Beach, Grand Bend Motorplex Speedway". Suffer System Fighters Chris Tilson and Chris Barbeau both made theiri debuts at this Muay Thai kickboxing show. It was a rumble right from the start!! Chris Barbeau started things off with a relentless and impressive performance capturing a unanimous decision!! Chris Tilson's fight followed. Tilson dominated and won the first round. The second round got the best of Tilson's wind and was stopped out. "I am very proud of both fighters.. They made their debut in a large show and fought like true warriors. Barbeau was impressive all round and Tilson fought an opponent with 3 previous fights... I would say that is something to be proud of!!!" stated Suffer System manager Milton Gougoulias. Saturday July 14 in Halifax Nova Scotia King of The Cage made it's debut East Coast appearance. Suffer System fighters Todd Wood and Shawn Marchand were featured on the card. Todd Wood started the evening off with an impressive first round arm bar.
Todd exploded off the bell with a wicked double and power slammed his opponent to the mat. From here Todd dominated and controlled the ground. Todd took full mount and through a plethora of elbows and bombs on his opponent. Todd took the arm and submitted his opponent!! "Todd really impressed tonight. With awesome shots and strong ground control.. He even left me speechless with his striking and knees" stated trainer Milton Gougoulias.
In the other bout Suffer System fighter, Shawn "The Vazzeeen Gun" Marchand didn't even get a chance to break a sweat as Shawn defeated his opponent 49 seconds in the first round. "I didn't even get a chance to sit down stated corner crew Tobin Thomas". Shawn came out with 2 quick left hooks that landed on his opponents eye. Shawn's opponent shoot for a double taking Marchand to the ground. Marchand transitiond with an impressive sweep and sunk in a side trinagle choke. "I saw his eye sweel up after I hit him stated Marchand. I hit him hard!!! He's a tough guy!! Congratulations to both warrioirs (Shawn 'The Vazzeeen Gun" Marchand and Todd Wood)!! "Suffer System Open Invitational Draws Top Schools"

On Saturday July 21 at the Suffer System Submission Academy, grapplers from the region's top schools particpated in the Suffer System Open Invitational. Congratulations to Ben Jamieson (Suffer System fighter) for winning his weight class. Excellent representation and performance by all 10 Suffer System competitors!! "Suffer System Fighter Dave King Takes Win In Cambridge Muay Thai Show" Dave King signed for his second Muay Thai Kickboxing fight in Phady's Muay Thai Show in Cambridge (June/07). Dave was relentless the first round throwing sharp, straight combinations that rocked his opponent on more than one occassion. Dave came out the second round firing leg kick after leg kick. This proved to be too much for his opponent and the ref. stopped the fight. Dave King takes a TKO win in the second round!!! " I have to give my opponent alot of credit said Dave, I went full out in the first round and he was taking it!!!" Congratulations to the Suffer System warrior Dave King on an impressive victory! Friday the 13th the Warrior's Challenege Muay Thai Kickboxing show, J Hadin defeated hs opponent ia TKO. Corner crew Dave King stated that 'J was all over the guy throwing combo after combo, landing bombs" Congratulations to J. Hadin!!! J makes his MMA debut in September (Moncton New Brunswick). Suffer System Fighter Kris "K-9" Parti makes MMA debut at UGC. Suffer System Fighter Kris k-9 Parti entered the octagon on Saturday May 18 at Montreal's UGC. This was Kris's first MMA fight. Corner men Tom Lockhardt and Corey "the dancing assassin" Backer stated that Kris fought like a true warrior. Even though Kris came up short in the end. He exploded with an amazing double leg take down that "wowed" the crowd!! Kris's performance even impressed UFC veteran David "the crow" Loiaseau, who had kind words for Kris. Congrats to Kris Parti!!! Special thanks for excellent corner work goes to Tom Lockhardt, "the dancing assassin" Cory Backer and especially to Becky Masters (this trip wouldn't have happened without you!!!!




On Saturday April 14, at Stratford's New Rotary Complex Centre. The Suffer System fighters entered the ring and made their debut appearance at CAMTAO's "Vengeance" Muay Thai Kickboxing show. Dave King, Kris "K-9" Parti, Justin Hicks, Cory Ing were all on the card. Chris Roy was scheduled to fight, however, his opponent failed his medical test. Chris Roy recently entered the octagon in Cleveland Ohio's Gladiator Fight Series making his debut and earning a 2nd round ref. stoppoage victory. Congrats. Chris!!! Justin Hicks impressed the crowd with an 2nd round TKO!!! Kris Parti and Cory Ing fought to a narrow split decision loss. Dave King landed some impressive combinations but his opponents lengthy ring experience eventually took over.
"I am very proud of my fighters. They all showed they have the heart of a lion, indominable spirit and fought like warriors... Considering we are an MMA Team, our fighters went into the ring and fought opponents who train specifically in Mauy Thai and our fighters pulled off split decisions and a victory. "Suffer System Fighter Receives Invitation For IFL Try Out"

The Suffer System Fighting Team received an invitation from the IFL for a try out with Frank Shamrock's San Jose Razorclaws!! Chester Post (Suffer System Fighter) flew to San Jose for this rare opportunity. Chetser impressed with his fighting game. The talent was tough and deep. Chester came up just short of making the team, however the experience was invaluable.

Shawn Marchand (MAS Thai boxing Fighter Camp; Suffer System MMA Fighter), took a Muay Thai title fight on 4 days notice for the CAMTAO Superheavyweight Title.

Shawn has been training under MAS Thaiboxing Team sensation Chris Kew for this fight. Shawn has built up an impressive 2-1 Muay Thai record to go along with his 3-2 MMA record. Shawn battled hard and threw some bombs on his opponent, but came up short.

"I am very impressed with the job Chris has done with Shawn. His kicks are quick, powerful and smooth. He is going to be that much more dangerous in the cage" stated Milton Gougoulias. The Suffer System would like to congratulate Mas fighter Jonny Chavez for capturing WMF CAMTAO Featherweight Title. Joe Tipping (MAS) on his impressive victory. In Hull Quebec, in what was pegged as the fight of the night, Chester Post dominated and defeated his opponent by a guilotenne choke in the 2nd round!! "I am really impressed with Chester. He's coming off a couple of very strong victories against some tough opponents in some very big shows. His name will make some noise on the big stage in the very near future" stated Head Trainer and manager Milton Gougoulias.

Chester now prepares for the Light Heavyweight Title Shot in Montreal on March 3rd!!

Congratulations to Suffer System Fighters!!!

Ben Jamieson captured the Joslins 145 lbs belt (title) by winning 5 consecutive fights at Joslins Grappling Championships in Hamilton. Ben's fights all lasted under one minute and his opponents did not score a single point on him. "It's pretty much unheard of and rare for five consecutive matches!!" stated Suffer System trainers George Lychwa and Mike Hebert.

Ryan Thomson and Matt Buchannan both made it to the quarter finals and placed an impressive 5th in the largest group. Both Suffer System fighters (Ryan and Matt) each won 3 fights to get to the quarter finals.

Rick Mitchell Bowden was in for a tough fight. He fought right to the end, and a decision that unfortunately did not go his way.

In Edmonton, the MFC had Suffer System Fighter Shawn Marchand going up against the formidable opponent Jason "Doomsday" Day. Shawn came out throwing heavy bombs and landed a jab, right straight combo which rocked his opponent. The fight immediately went to the ground where Shawn's opponent got full mount and forced a ref stoppage. "I am very pleased with Shawn. This is a fighter that will be making some serious noise in the very near future in this sport", stated trainer Milton Gougoulias.

Meanwhile in Chicago at XFO, Geza Kalman continued his "come back" into the ring. Kalman, a veteran of the UFC (UFC 7, 10 and Vale Tudo Brazil 4 and 6) took on Kerry Schall, a member of the Ultimate Fighter Reality TV show. Unfortunately, Geza got caught in a guillotine, but still continues his very impressive comeback.

In the XFO amateur card, Suffer System fighter Chris Barabeau made his fighting debut in front of 4000 spectators. Chris fought a tough undefeated opponent (NCAA wrestler). Chris fought like a warrior and took the fight to his opponent. Chris went the distance and the decision was put into the hands of the judges. Unfortunately. the Suffer System fighter did not get the decision, but his performance impressed trainer Barry Bailey. "Chris went in against a very tough and ranked wrestler. Chris showed no signs of intimidation and took the fight to the crowd favorite. For his first fight, Chris did awesome. He will definitely be a fighter to be reckoned with in the future" stated Bailey.

Friday November 3/06, Prince George British Columbia. Suffer System Fighter Chester Post fought in one of North America's largest MMA shows. Chester faced a very tough opponent with a strong wrestling background. The fight went into the third round and Chester was dominating the ground game. The Suffer System fighter (Chester) sank in a rear naked choke for the impressive victory!!

On Thursday November 2, Suffer System owner and trainer Milton Gougoulias made his second appearance on TSN's "Off The Record".

UGC- Montreal Quebec. Shawn Marchand fought for the Light Heavyweight Title. After a strong effort Shawn came up short and encountered his first MMA loss. Rob Haynes put on a clinic on ground and pound as he defeated his opponent by TKO.

Meanwhile in Cleveland at the Gladiator Fight Series, Geza "The Dawg" Kalman made his long awaited return to the octagon. Geza has fought in the UFC, Vale Tudo and through out the world. Geza was fighting for the world heavyweight title. Both fighters went hard but the end result had Geza's opponent maintaining his title.

Back in UGC - Montreal, Chester Post and Rob Haynes were both on the card. Chester came out dominating his fight. After a take down and 2 elbows the official stopped the fight rather prematurely, much to the crowds surprise?? Rob fought the fight of the night. The crowd was going crazy. There were a lot of hay makers in this one. End result a defeat for Rob Haynes.

Congratulations and good job to all of the Suffer System Fighters for an awesome display of bravery, and being a class act at all the shows!!
